About Us

  • Mamaw’s is locally owned and operated, built to serve those seeking a quiet spot on the Texas Coast.

  • We have 17 spaces currently available, on 10 acres that includes 2 large ponds, all backing up to a 1500-acre Nature Preserve.

  • WIFI, Septic, and Electric, hook ups for 30AMP and 50AMP and all pads at 50’x10’ + parking spot, with tons of room on the property for boats or extra vehicles. Electric Fees: $0.14 USD/KWH for weekly or longer stays. All electricity deposits are credited at check-out and may take up to 7 business days to process your return. Rates are subject to change. Prices as marked. $100 electricity deposit applicable for monthly or longer term stays.

  • Check out our new dog park and pavilion.

  • Mamaw’s is also sourcing a fishery to stock one of our ponds with Catfish or Other, so you can fish onsite. We also have several nearby designated Kayak launches and the bay fishing is incredible.

  • We are family friendly, and dog friendly with ample room to move around and have fun. Imagine horseshoes, volleyball, or anything you want to do, you have room and so do the kids.

  • Early morning or late evening, expect to see Sandhill Cranes, Deer, Hogs, Whistler Ducks, at our feeder. At night, listen close for the coyote chatter.

  • Each RV spot can accommodate up to 6 guests, +1 vehicle, but you can park one additional vehicle or boat in front of your RV site. Additional vehicle and guests are $25/month.

  • Well mannered, good dogs are welcome. Dogs must be on a leash at all time, unless in the dog park. All dogs must have their shots. If your dog poops outside of the dog park, please do your best to make sure it gets covered or removed. If your dog poops in the dog park, use the shovel and put the poop in the lye bucket.

  • The future of Mamaw’s includes double or more of the pad sites, some sites will be ON the ponds, others will be spread around the property and custom built for long term guests. Come stay with us now, let us help plan your long-term pad site to customize how you want it. We have the room, we have the time, we just need you here to make it happen.

  • OUR future also includes large outdoor TIKI BAR and Open Mic Stage, more grilling, and a big smoker. We will also build a playground, fish cleaning and compost station, community garden, wash and game room, as well as add decking and birding overlooks. We will also build a large area for RV and BOAT STORAGE and we are adding lots of palms and oaks, and landscaping will be a constant. I also plan on gating the community in, with a coded gate to get in, and pressure plate to get out. I will also fence the front and sides for privacy.

  • Imagine next to the tiki bar, a tiki hot tub! yup, it’s coming. Good things will be happening, and we are in this for the long haul.
